Who am I?

My name is Christopher, and I reside in Lynchburg, Virginia. At 57 years old, I celebrate my birthday on April 27. My journey began in Bangkok, Thailand, where my father, an Air Force officer stationed in Laos, welcomed me into the world.
Despite a challenging start, I was born healthy. However, at just four months old, I contracted Meningitis and Encephalitis, resulting in brain damage and ultimately leading to Cerebral Palsy. Undeterred, my family worked tirelessly to support me through school.
My life has been a tapestry of experiences. I’ve lived in diverse places—Germany, Miami, and now Virginia. It was here in Virginia that I transitioned to a non-disabled school, where my normal intelligence and determination made me a trailblazer in my district. Music played a significant role—I honed my drumming skills from fifth grade through high school, performing in concert bands.
Later, I pursued higher education at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, majoring in Speech Communications. While my initial aspiration was Public Relations, fate led me to an unexpected path. For the past 25 years, I’ve been part of an international law firm in Washington, D.C., serving as a Research Technology Assistant. Additionally, I am a home-based travel agent on the side.
Life has woven a rich tapestry for me, blending challenges, triumphs, and unexpected turns. Through it all, I’ve embraced each chapter with resilience and determination.
